Proper tire rotation and balance helps to prolong the life of your tires, lower gas consumption, and prevent safety issues related to unevenly worn tires. Uneven tire wear can be caused by a number of factors including tire location on your vehicle, wheel alignment, and driving style. To maximize the life expectancy of your tires, a proper rotation should be completed every 6,000 to 8,000 miles.
Snappy Lube recommends a tire rotation every second oil change. This service includes removing all four tires, rotating them to the proper position as dictated by the manufacturer, and reinstalling tires to proper torque specifications. Tire balancing is recommended every fourth oil change or if you notice wheel vibration between oil changes.
